Lulu Zhang's "Zen Leaf" blends her love of nature and her Chinese roots with new digital photography and digital printing on silk in the traditional form of the Chinese Scroll. Her earliest influences come from studying with her father as a billboard graphic designer in Shanghai, China. Later combining her industrial design studies and experiences working as a graphic designer, photographer, costume designer and VJ in the rise of modern China's advertising, fashion, music and film industry. Her recent immigration from Shanghai to Vancouver in 2006 has allowed her to experience the great Canadian outdoors that has infused her work with a love of nature.
Lulu Zhang is a local visual artist originally from Shanghai China. Her photo and graphic work includes projects with Sing Tao Daily Newspaper and Magazine, Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden, Art Institute as well as documenting local music festivals and events. She continues to explore digital images and print mediums.
