This is an annual contest sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP). It recognizes and celebrates the special places that Canadians love most.

Year of the Water Dragon!
January 16 - February 10
Bring your classroom to the Garden to celebrate the Year of the Dragon! Offered only from January 16 to February 10, our programs explore the stories, traditions and expressions that bring this cultural festivity to life.

Dragons & Dragon Boats: Collections
January 5 - February 29
Tuesdays - Sundays | 10am - 4:30pm

Free for Garden Members
An exhibition of traditional and contemporary artifacts featuring dragons. Selected "dragon and dragon boat art" in the exhibition are part of Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival Legacy Collection, exhibited at festivals over the years with the assitance from the Canadian Society for Asian Arts. Many of these artefacts have travelled to exhibitions accross Canada, US and Asia.

While its roots are deep in the past, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is building with a perspective that uses modern sustainability.
The Garden plans to renew its worn roof tiles with a much longer lasting solution.
